Name(s):
Robert Bruce Banner
Nicknames:
Joe Fixit
Age:
28
Species:
Human
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Good/Neutral (depending on the mood)
Residence:
Traveling abroad
Occupation:
Former nuclear physicist; force of nature
Abilities:
Hulk
Unlimited Strength: As the familiar old addage goes, "the Madder the Hulk gets, the Stronger he gets." During times of high stress or anger, an increase in adrenaline causes the Hulk's strength to increase dramatically. There has never been a limit shown as to the highest strength the Hulk can reach thus it is assumed it is limitless.
Superhuman Stamina/Durability: The high tensile strength of the Hulk's skin allows him protection from most modern artillery such as bullets, grenades, shells, and rockets. He can withstand concussive blasts, impacts from super-powered villians, and extreme high and low temperatures. He has withstood the vacuum of deep space a multitude of times along with the huge pressure of the ocean floor.
Thunderclap: The Hulk can slam his hands together to create a large thunderclap-type concussive force. He has imployed this for various reasons including creating a concussive blast to hurt enemies, to blow away gas or put out fires, or even deafen people.
Leaping/Jumping Ability: The Hulks's leg muscles are augmented so much that the Hulk can travel miles in a single casual jump. He has been known to make it into the earth's atmosphere on a single leap. Given the strength of the leap and the angle of trajectory when landing, the Hulk can create large craters and limited seismic activity when landing.
Accelerated Healing: The Hulk has most likely the quickest healing factor known to man, surpassing the likes of Wolverine. Wounds that would be deadly to most other heroes takes just a short time for the Hulk to recover; including regrowing his skin within minutes if its torn off, or having immensely large holes in his body regenerated as long as he keeps the wound covered.
Immunity to diseases & viruses: The Hulk is immune to all known Earth-based diseases, including AIDS. He can operate under intense conditions for extended periods of time due to his body not developing fatigue toxins quickly.
Resistance to mind control: The Hulk has always shown an ability to resist mind control. This is probably due to the fact that there are multiple personalities residing in the Hulk's mind and a person can not control all of them at once as they offer resistance.
Underwater breathing: The Hulk is able to breathe due to his body developing a gland which creates an oxygenated perfluorocarbon emulsion which fills his lungs and equalizes the pressure. He is therefore able to breathe fluid and avoid decompression and nitrogen narcosis.
Unusual Mental Abilities: For some reason, spawned from Banner's fear of his father, the Hulk is capable of blocking out certain incidents in his mind, and has also attained the ability to see ghosts, just to be ready if his father decided to return. Another mental ability related to this is the fact that no matter where the Hulk is in the world, he can always instinctively find his way back to the site of the original Gamma Bomb explosion in New Mexico.
Bruce Banner
Genius-level intellect: Bruce Banner himself is considered one of the greatest minds on Earth; having developed expertise in the fields of biology, chemistry, engineering, and physiology, and holds a Ph.D. in nuclear physics. He also makes use of his intelligence to create highly advanced technology, on par with technological development from Tony Stark or Doctor Doom.
Force-Field: One of the most common devices Banner uses for himself is a force-field, which allows him to survive blows from entities on par with the Hulk. For obvious reasons, this is never in use when he's hulked out.
Weaknesses:
The major, obvious one, lies in Bruce Banner's psyche. While he has attained a sense of control over the Hulk transformation, he hasn't eliminated the factor of his emotions getting the better of him. When in a situation of extreme peril, or when his emotions reach an unstable high, he finds himself transforming into the Hulk, with even less control than before; making him even more dangerous than usual.
As for the Hulk itself, the predominant weakness seems to be rapid, successive fire upon his person by several groups. As he is simply far too powerful to be contained by anything man-made, the best way to keep him pinned down is suppressing fire that keep him from moving away, until someone strong enough can subdue him and allow Banner to regain control.
There exists one other weakness that both Banner and the Hulk share; being separated from each other. While some would see this as key to both curing Bruce and attaining the raw strength Hulk possesses, the two of them are literally doomed without one another; the radiation suppressed by the Hulk persona eating away at Banner, and the absence of Banner within his mind turning Hulk into a threat not only to everything surrounding him, but also to himself.
Personality:
Uniquely, Bruce Banner doesn't seem to have just one personality, but several. He suffers from multiple personality disorder largely thanks to the gamma bomb incident, which has given rise to a multitude of personalities; some which haven't even been uncovered as of yet. The predominant one, Banner himself, is intelligent, yet reserved, due to his unstable nature. This translates into a resigned attitude that gives the impression that he's been through hell, which leaves virtually nothing a surprise to him.
The most famed personality he possesses is the green, Savage Hulk. While obviously incredibly prone to violent fits of rage, if left alone and unprovoked, one can deduce that he has childlike levels of intelligence and curiosity, and longs for actual friends; the problem being that he's never usually given such a chance. Savage Hulk is usually unaware that he is actually Banner, whom he sees as a different person and an enemy.
The other known persona, who's rarely seen these days, is the gray Hulk, or Joe Fixit, as he's taken to calling himself. While lacking Banner's advanced intellect and scientific knowledge, but he is still exceptionally clever and crafty, with selfish motives and desires; the exact opposite of Savage Hulk. Unlike Savage Hulk, he is perfectly aware that he, Banner and Hulk are one and the same, but he still views them as enemies and a threat to his desires.

Bio:
After a fairly rough childhood where he had to deal with his abusive father, Bruce Banner eventually found himself working as a nuclear physicist: being renowned as one of the greatest minds to have around. In a project secretly meant to recreate the astonishing success of the Captain America formula, Banner created a gamma bomb meant as some manner of deterrent. However, a freak accident during the test detonation of this bomb resulted in Banner being exposed to heavy doses of gamma radiation; however, rather than killing him, it heavily modified his body, with changes only visible if his emotions were to escalate to an extreme degree.
This rapid expanse of emotion would force Banner to undergo a horrific transformation, into what could best be described as a monster. Initially, the monster Banner changed into was a gray being, who took upon himself the alias of "Joe Fixit". He was a cunning force to be reckoned with; possessing incredible strength, durability, and enough self-awareness to suppress Banner for quite some time. However, the instant he allowed Banner to regain control, Fixit found himself being suppressed by a completely different persona; a green monstrosity who possessed even more power than before, in exchange for his cunning; becoming a wild, unstoppable force that could not be halted. This being was quickly dubbed by the masses as "Hulk."
For quite some time, due to the Hulk that he had virtually no control over, Banner found himself being hounded by the army, in an attempt to contain this destructive force. During his flight from the army, he was once challenged by Team X, who forced him into transforming. In spite of the damage caused, however, Banner subconsciously started to control the creature, and managed to keep casualties to a minimum until he found himself out of energy. A short while afterwards, though, he was confronted by Wolverine, and found himself changed back into the Hulk to not only battle Wolverine, but a returning Team X. Thankfully, due to Wolverine's unorthodox thinking, him and Hulk managed to drive away Team X, before finishing their fight; in what could only be presumed ended in a draw.
The confrontation made Banner realize that he could possibly control the transformation to some degree, and he proceeded to spend the next months trying to perfect that art in several remote areas. However, due to some circumstances that involved his blood samples from the original gamma bomb experiment being traced to his current location, he was finally captured by the government. However, another freak accident caused one Emil Blonsky to transform into an abomination, with power that no one but the Hulk could match. As a last-second measure, Banner was freed and transformed into Hulk once more; his battle with the Abomination causing untold destruction upon Harlem. Convinced by Betty Ross to let Blonsky live, however, Hulk quickly retreated.
A month has passed, and Banner has taken residence in Calcutta, India, where he not only has started to treat the ailing families there, but has taken the time to finally find a proper way to control the transformation into Hulk; while not perfect, it will at least allow him to willfully transform when it's necessary, rather than just transforming him at the worst possible moments.
