Steve is an elite soldier, seasoned by his harsh training in boot camp and his experiences in warfare. He is proficient in various forms of combat, and is a born leader. He can command almost any team and lead them to victory, no matter what the odds are. He's skilled in firearms as well, but really shines in close range combat. His Super Soldier genes give him immense strength, speed and skill, just past what a normal human could do. They even allow him to heal wounds faster. But the best part about Captain America is his mighty shield, made of Vibranium. It is strong enough to withstand anything, and flexable enough to come back to the Captain, like a boomerang.
Weaknesses:
Despite being a super soldier, and able to do things no normal human can, he still has his limits. He'll push himself so hard that it might even kill him at times. Rather unfamiliar to the 21st century, he isn't up to date on how a lot of machines work exactly (although he can drive a lot of vehicles, even today). Without his shield, he won't be able to defend himself from a lot of dangerous attacks, or use projectiles anymore.
Personality:
Steven Rogers was born to be honest, respectful, and patriotic. He can't stand injustice and bullies, he would stand up for even the littlest of guys, and lend his shield to their cause. A little gullible, but even he can see through deception from time to time. Some say he's a bit too much of a goody two shoes, and they could be right. But not many men come with this amount of good will and sense of duty.

Back in the 1940s, America was at war with Hydra, a growing evil force. The good ol' US of A opened a draft to recruit young men to help the good fight, and defend their homeland. Steven Rogers wanted to join, and help as well. But he was born a weak man, many said he wouldn't survive the training. However, a scientist, who was working on a secret project, saw young Rogers' resolve and good will, and pulled some strings to have him recruited into a special program. Steve was to become the world's first Super Soldier. Thanks to Howard Stark's assistance in building the machine, the scientist was able to inject Steven with his serum, and make him into the super soldier America needs. However, a spy from Hydra sneaked in during the operation, and killed the scientist, and destroyed the rest of the serum. Despite that however, America counted on Steven to see them through the war, as Captain America.
He lead a brigade of special soldiers to take Hydra on; time and time again, Steve faced dangerous odds, but he always found a way to victory. The final stages of the war forced Captain America and his sidekick, Bucky, to chase after the Red Skull on his aircraft. They fell for a trap, the ship was rigged to explode! But not before Bucky saved the Captain's life, as the cost of his own. However Steve wouldn't quite find freedom himself, as he fell from the aircraft into the arctic ocean. A normal man would have frozen to death, but an act of fate saved Steve, and preserved him in an ice burg. Nearly a decade later, he still remains in ice. Unaware of what happened in the past 60 years...
