Name(s):
Tabitha Smith
Nicknames:
Boom-Boom, Boomer, Meltdown, Time-Bomb
Age:
16
Species:
Human Mutant
Gender:
Female
Alignment:
Neutral
Residence:
Currently "off-the-grid"
Occupation:
Former X-Man,thief self-proclaimed adventurer
Abilities:
Tabitha possesses the power to create yellow, psionic orbs of plasma from her hands that she can control when they're to detonate and explode with concussive energy; calling them her "time bombs". The size of these orbs is variable, and thus is their overall strength; at the size of a marble, the orbs are about as fierce as a firecracker, but around the size of beach balls, they possess force comparable to mortar shells. She can also control the time between the creation of the orbs and when they explode; even being able to mentally muffle the detonation sound if the need arises.
Weaknesses:
Aside from her mutant powers and skills in thievery and video games, Tabitha doesn't have a lot else going for her. Her physical fighting skills are sub-par, she's not particularly agile, she can't really endure too heavy blows, and to say that she is dimwitted is putting it lightly.
Personality:
Mischievous to a fault, Tabitha is a personality that enjoys the smaller things in life. If she can manage to throw anyone else off their game with some kind of prank, then her day is basically set. She's not the kind of girl to think too heavily about the future; she acts in the present, and doesn't have time for silly things like patience or common sense. She just... does things. Only when she's plotting some kind of adventurous heist, preparing for various pranks or focusing on her powers, can she set time aside for thinking; and generally, it's only for those few things. That being said, she's far from malicious... but for the most part, she shows how nice she can be through careless behavior.
Likes:
Pranks, adventure, blowing stuff up
Dislikes:
Rules, tight-asses
Appearance:
Bio:
You wouldn't have guessed from her carefree nature, but Tabitha's childhood wasn't a happy one. When her mutant powers were discovered by her father, he used her abilities to commit crimes for him, until he was eventually found out and arrested. Due to her younger age when he was finally caught, Tabitha wasn't held responsible, but was still forced to be sent to a boarding school due to her assisting her father.
It just so happened that the school she was sent to was the Xavier Institute.
Unlike the other mutants who were joining the school around that time, Tabitha had a far harder time adjusting to the stricter living rules of the school; preferring to play around than to actually study. Eventually, this reached a breaking point when she met the Brotherhood; favoring their laidback lifestyle over the prim and proper lifestyle of the institute, and promptly moved in with that gang. While she was generally just freeloading at their place, her looks (and the fact that she didn't treat them like dirt) kept her from just being evicted.
What did get her evicted was the sudden return of Mystique, who didn't consider her a true member of the Brotherhood (and the fact that she just got on her nerves). Leaving her new friends behind, Tabitha briefly considered returning to the instutitute and the friends she had made there, only for the incident that destroyed the mansion to take place. Left without any kind of place to stay, she began wandering the country; keeping out of sight whilst keeping herself going on her own.
