She has the ability to phase through various things. Walls, vehicles, even people and barriers. This can also disrupt any electrical field that's active at the time she passes through it. She also has some self defense and acrobatic skills.
Weaknesses:
Without her power, she's as average as any other girl, and vulnerable. So she's easy to corner if she's alone if her powers are negated, or rendered useless in any situation. Her nosiness can also be a weakness. It brings some unwanted attention.
Personality:
She's a pretty energetic, easy going girl with not too many cares in the world. Very friendly, and can get along with anyone (except maybe Rogue) with very little effort. She's also a straight forward kind of girl, with not much of a grasp over the word "tact". Still, she's very good at heart. Tends to stick her nose in a lot of business that isn't her own at times, which can draw some negative attention.

Kitty was born in a family in Illinois, Deerfield, and her powers bloomed at a very young age. Of course, this caught some attention of a few special groups that sought out Mutants. However, it was Xavier that won her over, when he approached her himself. She joined his institute, and was placed in the younger generation along with Iceman. She developed her powers for quite some time and even became a full fledged member of the X-Men. However, after the mansion explosion, she was separated from the group. When she heard it disbanded, she fled toward Genosha to avoid the MRD. But she secretly misses her old family, and wishes there was a way to bring them back together...
