Name(s):
Amanda Waller
Nicknames:
At the moment, none else.
Age:
Classified, likely, though, to be in her late forties to early fifties.
Species:
Human
Gender:
Female
Alignment:
Lawful Neutral/Good. It's somewhat hazy. Point is she works for the US government, and actively works to find ways to protect the government if good superheroes went rogue, or to protect the country from supervillains if the heroes suddenly disappeared. She's not Evil, but she's no saint.
Residence:
Classified.
Personal Relationships(Optional):
Waller is highly connected throughout the United States Government, to SHIELD, and to many other organizations, legally and illicitly alike. She has managed to stay out of all public limelight, and her mere existence is a whisper in the wind at this point.
Occupation:
Director of Operations, Project CADMUS.
Abilities:
Amanda herself has no abilities, but she has the full funding of a large chunk of the US government's black budget, and nearly unlimited resources when it comes to getting the pieces into place of who she wants where. Formerly, she was an intelligence analyst during the Reagan, Bush, and Clinton presidencies. She is extremely smart and perceptive.
Weaknesses:
Amanda is human. Pretty much the end of story.
Personality:
Amanda is a hardass, pure and simple. But she is also a patriot, and at the core, a decent enough person. But she can be a bit extreme in her methods, and isn't afraid to step on toes to get what she wants. Bullheaded and obstinate, but also extremely intelligent and very keen and perceptive, she makes for the perfect head of a secret organization that is bent on protecting the US from all possible metahuman, mutant, or superhuman threats, foreign and domestic, good or evil.
Likes:
Chess. Lobster. Playing blackjack. Protecting the nation. Working. Reading technical manuals and espionage files.
Dislikes:
The thought of superpowered people overthrowing the government and seizing power by unstoppable force. Vacations. People that get in her way. Budget meetings. Cinnamon (She's allergic).
Appearance:
Bio:
Amanda was born in East St. Louis, Missouri, the single daughter of a single father. Her mother dumped her on her father's doorstep and ran off with someone else. Later, she wouldn't bother to find out. Getting amazing grades in school, she would later graduate from Georgetown University with a Ph. D. in political science by the tender age of 22. From there she entered the CIA, and quickly moved up the ranks. Eventually, at 33, she joined the agency that would become SHIELD. At the time of the incident with the JSA, she was a deputy director of the agency. While she thought some of the methods were slightly harsh, in principle she did not disagree with what exactly was done to them. Mostly because, as a normal person herself, she did realize that metahumans, superhumans, and the like could be very problematic- if someone can stop a bullet from penetrating their skull fired by a trained sniper at several hundred yards, that's a problem to her. In SHEILD's leadership change, she was given a sideways promotion to Director of Project CADMUS, the United States' secret research wing looking for ways to down superpowered beings if any of them ever went rogue. She operates in the thickest of shadows with the utmost efficiency, and she knows, through careful analysis, the identities of several superheroes. Of course, the question is, will she use this information, and what exactly is she doing now…?
Of course, later, she will go on to authorize project Batman Beyond- the reprogramming of Warren McGinnis's reproductive DNA to that of Bruce Wayne, thereby making Terry McGinnis Bruce's son. However, that is in the future, and for now, she is plotting contingencies for the demise of the superhero...if it ever comes to that.
