Name(s):
Diana
Nicknames:
At the moment, none else.
Age:
Old enough, but she looks like she's in her 20's.
Species:
Amazonian (statue made flesh, however.)
Gender:
Female
Alignment:
Good
Residence:
From the island of Themyscira (a hidden isle in the Aegean Sea, shrouded in a magical mist)
Personal Relationships(Optional):
Currently has no relationships to any hero. And, as she left the island without permission from her mother, Hippolyta, she's probably not going to get a great reception when she goes home.
Occupation:
Currently, none
Abilities:
Diana is a special creation, a statue sculpted by Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, as a young girl. The Amazons have no men, and therefore, no children. When she was given life by the Greek gods, they imbued her with special gifts…
Super Strength: Diana was granted super strength by Demeter, Goddess of the Earth. She's easily one of the strongest beings in existence, and, if she ended up doing it for some odd reason, would be a decent match for Superman. She's also close to invulnerable, especially to magic.
Supreme Intelligence, Wisdom, and Military Prowess: The gift that was granted to her from Pallas Athena, Goddess of War and Wisdom, was supreme smarts. Diana is, despite her lack of education and formality with technology, extremely intelligent and inquisitive. She can easily learn languages, complete scientific fields, philosophies, and acts of any sort of other true knowledge. She is also extremely gifted in hand-to-hand combat, military strategy, leadership, and weapons of all sorts.
Flight and Speed: Hermes, the Messenger God, granted Diana the ability of flight and great speed- though not as much as, say, Impulse or Flash by any stretch. It also manifests as extremely quick reflexes, enough to deflect bullets or beam shots of any sort.
Empathy, Beauty, and Heart: The Goddess Aphrodite, of love, of course, granted Diana knockout looks…and yet a heart of gold, empathy with all men and women, and the best virtues of all humanity.
She also has certain equipment…
Armor: Diana's armor was made by the God of the Forge, Hephaestus. It is supremely durable and also very lightweight and flexible and helps protect her more vital areas.
Bracelets: In particular, Diana's bracelets can deflect, well, almost any kind of projectile ever made. She has the reflexes to do it, alright.
Lasso: Diana's lasso is completely indestructible, and, when it circles around someone, it forces them to tell the truth no matter what question is asked of them.
Weaknesses:
Diana's very close to indestructible. But she's not as much a flying brick as Superman is. She also, despite her intelligence, doesn't have any experience with modern technology. She can also be a bit gullible and naïve, but that will likely change with time and experience.
Personality:
Diana is usually a nice girl, but she can be headstrong and willful. She has a large amount of pride in who she is and where she comes from, but of course that doesn't mean as much in the world of man.
Likes:
Flying, helping people, athletic competition, being away from home for the first time, fruits and vegetables- dates are a particular favorite. Also a large fan of music and the arts, as well as acting.
Dislikes:
Evil, bad food, bad art, being away from home for the first time (though that's more because she's in unfamiliar territory, and she left in a bit of a huff).
Appearance:
Bio:
Diana, Princess of Themyscira, was made in some time around 340BC by her mother, Hippolyta. Of course, at that time, she was merely a statue- Amazons had no children, and Queen Hippolyta made one, praying to the gods to make her real. As a gift to the faithful Amazon queen, the gods smiled on her and made Diana into a real being. For over two thousand years Diana has played, fought, grown, and lived comfortably on the island with her mother and 'sisters'. However, now her curiosity has gotten the better of her. After years of wondering about the man's world, she broke into the temple of Athena and stole the armor that she is currently wearing, hoping to do some good elsewhere and bring peace to the world outside.
Fresh off the island, ladies and gents.
