Name(s):
Todd Tolansky
Nicknames:
Toad
Age:
17
Species:
human/mutant
Gender:
male
Alignment:
Neutral
Residence:
New York
Occupation:
Brotherhood
Abilities:
Superhuman Leaping: The Toad's primary mutant power is the ability to leap to heights and distances far greater than that of an ordinary human. He possesses some degree of superhuman strength, particularly in his legs, which grants him his superior leaping abilities. He has a vertical leap of over 24 feet and a horizontal jump of approximately 36 feet in a single leap. No definite limit to his leaping ability is yet known. Although the Toad usually stands in a crouching position, he can stand erect if he wishes. His unusually flexible spine enables him to crouch continually without strain. In his first appearances, Toad had very little knowledge of hand to hand combat, fighting mainly by kicking wildly and by leaping about and attempting to land on his opponents. Recently, he has demonstrated a better sense of combat and a slimmer physique, using both his leaping ability and his long, prehensile tongue to his advantage.
Superhuman Stamina: The Toad's muscles produce much less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the muscles of an ordinary human. He can exert himself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair him.
Superhuman Agility: The Toad's bodily coordination and balance are enhanced to levels that are beyond the human body's natural limits.
Superhuman Durability: The Toad's body is somewhat tougher and more resistant to physical injury than an ordinary human's. He can withstand impacts and physical trauma that would severely injure or kill an ordinary human with moderate discomfort. However, he is far from invulnerable and can be injured in ways similar to an ordinary human. For instance, he is not bulletproof and can be injured by weapons composed of conventional materials.
Super-Prehensile Tongue: The Toad has the ability to extend his tongue up to 25 feet in distance and ensnare objects and people. His tongue is superhumanly strong to the extent that he once killed a magistrate of Genosha by ensnaring him with his tongue and squeezing him, causing the magistrate to be crushed to death.
Mind Alteration: The Toad's super-prehensile tongue contains mind altering toxins bending a person's will so that they obey Toad's commands.
Toxic Saliva: He is also able to spit a caustic phlegmatic substance.
Paralytic Resin: His pores secrete a mucus resin that adheres to any surface and paralyzes the nervous systems of whatever it touches.
Superhuman Respiratory System: He can also contain large amounts of air in his expanding cheeks and throat and expel it with enough force to knock someone off their feet.
Amphibian Control: In the past, the Toad has demonstrated the ability to psionically communicate with amphibian life, such as frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders.
Weaknesses:
Toad is pretty much a coward. Like most weak thugs, he feels unstoppable behind someone else's strength. But when he's all alone, he flees. Also, his stench makes it difficult for any other person to come near him.
Personality:
Todd is a shrimpy weak, smart mouthed, and weaselly punk with extremely poor hygiene (resulting in, among other things, very noticeable body odor) with a wise guy attitude, who thinks he's tough because of the thugs he hangs around with. Todd hangs out with the other members of the Brotherhood as his way to gain respect. He's become close with Avalanche and especially the Blob, who's adopted a big brother type relationship towards the little guy. He also seems to be attracted to Wanda.
Likes:
mud, freedom, Wanda
Dislikes:
Baths, school, X-Men
Appearance:
Bio:
Little is known about his past, other than he seemed to been passed down to many foster homes. But afterwards, he ran away to Bayville and began a life of being a homeless teen, pick-pocketing people.
Todd was picking pockets at the football game. He then comes face-to-face with Duncan Matthews who's pissed him for stealing, plus two more football players who plan on beating him up for it. Scott tells them all to back off, but now Duncan wants to fight him. Scott loses control of his powers and causes an explosion.
Back at the high school the principal calls Todd into the office. She, as in Mystique, tells him to infiltrate the mansion to find out more information...which turned into a disaster. But since then, Toad was recruited to the Brotherhood to try to fight and defeat the X-Men. But every time, except when they first recruited the Scarlet Witch, they failed.
Speaking of whom, Toad fell head-over-heels in lover with her. But hi charm, and his stench was a big turn-off to the Goth. Toad did everything he could to impress her, including steal Kurt's holo-watch to transform into a handsome man for her.
Though he knew about Wanda's brainwashing, he decided to keep his mouth shut about it, since he meant she would spend a lot of time with the Brotherhood. But that never lasted, for when Magneto opened his new city, Wanda came with him, leaving the rest of the Brotherhood in a land filled with mutant-hatred.
