Name(s):
Anthony 'Tony' Edward Stark
Nicknames:
N/A
Age:
33
Species:
Human
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Good
Residence:
Stark Tower, New York City
Personal Relationships (Optional):
Pepper Potts: Personal secretary, love interest
JARVIS: Helper A.I. based on his father's butler
James Rupert Rhodes/War Machine: Colleague
Occupation:
Genius-Billionaire-Playboy-Philanthropist
Abilities:
Genius-level intellect: Tony Stark is wildly regarded as one of the brightest individuals living on the planet Earth, with additional expertise within electrical and mechanical engineering. His ingenuity can allow him to create powerful equipment even with limited tools and working space.
Martial Arts Training: While his eponymous suit of armor is his bread and butter in terms of battle, Tony has taken lessons in several kinds of hand-to-hand combat; generally meant for situations where he'd have to rely on his own strength, but also being implemented in his fighting style whilst wearing the armor.
Arc Reactor: In order to keep himself from death's door after the ambush in the Middle East, Stark successfully miniaturized the energy reactor his father had created, and outfitted it within his chest. This arc reactor basically serves as Tony's life-support; as long as it's kept within his chest, his survival is guaranteed.
The Iron Man Armor: What really puts Tony Stark as a force of good is the Iron Man armor, or the many variations of it. Throughout his career, Stark has up until this point created seven* suits of armor, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. While his most iconic outfit has been the red and yellow Mark III, his other suits of armor represent other accomplishments he's made; such as the Mark I being the very suit that saved his life in the Middle East, the Mark II being the basis for the War Machine armor, the Mark V being the start of making the armor portable, and the Mark VII making the portable armor even more streamlined than ever before. The suit currently in use is the Mark VI; made to match his current arc reactor.
Armor Armaments: The armor itself is outfitted with a variety of weapons and gadgets, most notably the repulsor beams and the boots located within his jets. The repulsor beams, now practically Iron Man's signature weapon, are palm-situated concussive blasts that also function as magnetic, meaning that he can shut down machines if enough force is applied to the beams. Other weapons include anti-tank missiles, flare launchers, anti-personell guns, a multi-fire adhesive grenade launcher, and a powerful one-time laser blast.
Other Armor Capabilities: All of his suits have been outfitted with their own arc reactor, so Tony wouldn't find himself at risk of having to power the armor with his own in case of an emergency (and allowing for both remote control of the vacant suits and for people he trust to put them to use). All of them are capable of flight with a maximum velocity of Mach 3, though while Iron Man often uses the palm-mounted repulsors in tandem with his jet boots to achieve flight, the Mark VII is outfitted with its own jetpack, meant for greater ease in combat. The suits have also enhanced Tony's regular strength and durability, which allows him to go toe-to-toe with foes generally his superior in size and strength. In addition, suits from Mark VI and onwards have the ability to absorb electrical energy for him to enhance his repulsor blasts.
Armor Add-ons: To make sure that he's on the top of his game, Stark has created several add-ons meant for his main Iron Man armors, to enhance his overall fighting capability. Notable add-ons include the Stealth Armor (meant to camoflauge himself from enemy radar), the Space Armor (meant for prolonged flights in outer space), the Arctic Armor (meant for battles in sub-zero enviroments), the Hulkbuster Armor (meant for battles against enemies on par with the Hulk), and the Thorbuster Armor (meant for battles against Asgardians such as Thor).
Weaknesses:
While it's the crutch that keeps Stark alive, one could argue that the arc reactor also happens to be Stark's greatest weakness. While now powered by Vibranium as opposed to the poisonous palladium, if the reactor is removed from Stark's chest, he's at most given around 10-15 minutes to find a replacement before he enters cardiac arrest and his body fails him.
One could also argue that Stark's ego is another weakness of his; mainly as he's seen as infalliable and always being on his high horse. Knocked off said horse, he can grow irrational and depressive; some times even falling back to drinking his sorrows away. Oh, I didn't mention that Tony's a recovering alcoholic? Well, we'll get to that later.
Another thing worth mentioning about Tony is that he's an immense workaholic; arguably, when he's started with a project, virtually nothing is going to be able to keep him from finishing it, no matter how many hours of rest he has to forsake in order for himself to finish his work. That would be why he has people like Pepper Potts around to keep him in check; otherwise, he would likely work himself to death.
Personality:
Being a multi-billionaire playboy, one could always note that Tony Stark is an attention hog. He enjoys being in the spotlight, and makes little to no effort to try and hide it. He's got a sharp wit, and the brass to aim said wit at anyone, no matter if they're thugs or his closest companions. Not to say that he's mean-spirited, but his attitude can be the source of annoyance to some of his comrades.
He can be seen as somewhat irresponsible and absolutely narcissistic, mainly due to his brain practically always being active. This, coupled with his more eccentric nature as a rich playboy, doesn't always make him focus on things that he's supposed to be doing, such as doing business or dealing with the government. When it comes to fighting for the sake of the world, however, his heart is without a doubt in the right place.
His sense of right and wrong is incredible as well, and with his workaholic nature, would let him focus solely on taking out criminals who threaten the peace of the world. He's not by any means a rogue vigilante, though; since the world is aware that he is Iron Man, he keeps himself firmly on the side of the law, in a bid to keep the image of Tony Stark from being corroded into someone who's a dangerous force to everyone around him.

Bio:
Born the son of the business tycoon Howard Stark, Tony Stark found himself soon as the active CEO of Stark Industries after his parents died in a plane crash. While he kept the weapons manufacturing company alive for a good twenty years, his attitude began growing rapidly, and his image as an eccentric playboy was well-established. Once, though, he ventured to the Middle East in order to be part of the demonstration of a new missile technology that Stark Industries had developed. On his way back to base, however, his escort was attacked by a terrorist seed, and he was taken hostage.
After discovering that the terrorists were using weapons from his very own company, Stark realized that grenade shrapnel had embedded itself within his body, and it was inching ever closer to his heart. A scientist captured by the terrorist, Ho Yinsen, had operated on Stark in order to keep him alive, as the terrorists wanted Stark to create the same missile he had earlier demonstrated.
With the aid of Yinsen, however, Stark took advantage of the tools and work locale he was given, and managed to replace the security measure Yinsen built to keep him alive, by building his trademark arc reactorIN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS! As time went on, Stark and Yinsen eventually managed to complete the very first Iron Man armor, Mark I; unfortunately, to give Stark enough time to completely recharge the suit, Yinsen sacrificed his life. Dealing with the terrorists to avenge Yinsen, Stark eventually found his way back to the American base; picking up the stray air force pilot James Rhodes along the way.
Returning to America, Stark immediately had Stark Industries shut down all weapons manufacturing; his three-month captivity having opened his eyes to what the weapons he had helped create were being used for. As he had the company focus its resources on other ventures, his initial decision was largely unpopular, but his mind wasn't set on that; rather, he intended to perfect the suit he and Yinsen had built back in the Middle East.
After a test-run of suits Mark II and III, however, Stark came to the realization that the power source he used to fuel his arc reactor, palladium, was corroding his blood cells and slowly killing him. To this end, his lifestyle grew a lot more destructive, and he ended up drinking heavily. During his period as an alcoholic, one Obadiah Stane bought out the company from him, turned Stark into a homeless bum, and even recovered the Mark I suit to build a weapon of his own; the Iron Monger suit.
Thankfully, around that time, Stark had discovered a new element he could synthezise into an energy source, and after swearing off alcohol, Stark began picking up where he had fallen once before; building a new Iron Man suit to accomodate his newfound energy source, and finally squaring off against Obadiah and the Iron Monger. It was a long, drawn-out and brutal battle, but as Stark began overpowering Obadiah, the man decided to commit suicide rather than allowing himself to be bested by Tony.
Since then, Tony has reacquired control over the company, though he has appointed Pepper Potts as acting CEO, whereas he remains a consultant to her. He still benefits from the privileges of Stark Industries, including the recently built Stark Tower, where he currently resides, and new Iron Man technologies to deal with various threats the world over. Because as the entire world knows at this point, Tony Stark is Iron Man.
Anything else? (Optional)
*A very quick note; just for plot reasons, we'll say that Stark hasn't had the idea of creating the Extremis armor yet.
Also, you have no idea how tough it was to find pictures of Tony that weren't either too big or just Robert Downey, Jr. XP
