Virgil's an average student on all respects. Grades, gym class, and such. But he isn't really brilliant, or athletic. He does have a lot of potential hidden, but it's rather untapped.

Through the Big Bang accident, Virgil obtained the power to control electricity. This means he can make lightning out of his hands, control metals, and even make a magnetic energy around some people. He has several types of gadgets his friend Richie made him, such as his Shock Disk. Through some training, Virgil's body became tough enough to go toe to toe with some of the more dangerous foes.
Weaknesses:
Virgil is your regular joe, which means he's easy to beat up. And trust me, a lot of thugs DO take advantage of that. His smart mouth and slight impulse can land him in hot water at times, tough situations even his smooth talking can't get him out of.

As Static Shock, water can short his powers out. He needs to find a battery pack, or some sort of energy line to recharge those powers. Until then, he's about as weak as his usual self. Rather overconfident and inexperienced, he can often find himself facing things that was way over his head.
Personality:
Virgil's a happy-go-lucky kind of kid, he just wants to have a blast whenever he can with his friends. He's a jokster, loves to tease some people he likes, but it's all in good fun to him. He'd never mean most things he says, despite the fact it could get on people's bad sides. Rather impulsive and easy to cross, Virgil often finds himself in the company of the bad people. But his smooth talking sometimes helps him out of a jam. He's a pretty easy kid to get along with, but he can get over emotional sometimes.

Villains, gangs, being reminded of his mom, getting involved in rough fights

Virgil was born and raised in Dakota, growing up in a normal life. His mother, Jean Hawkins, was a part of a rescue team, and was involved in a large city riot. She didn't survive the night, and news of her death broke the family. Despite that however, the family came through strong. Virgil grew up (mostly) unaffected by that event, he even became close friends with Richie Foley. However, when they got into high school, quite a few gangs had their eyes on Virgil. Some of them saw him as bait, others, a good way to steal money. But one gang saw him as potential as a member, especially in a big battle they have planned...
