 Cackling, the pterodactyl looked down at the other mutants. "A necessary evil to make my splendid return! I require the energy of a mutant to become what I am, and you seemed like the perfect candidates!" As he slowly got on his feet, he shook his head. "...energy? Gnh... feels like he sapped my energy, when I think about it..." "Comes with being an energy vampire." the beast sneered. "... what." An annoyed grunt, and Lance glared up at the pterodactyl. Obviously, he was still kind of sore about the whole vampire thing from before. " Energy vampire? And you need mutant energy to transform into a... goddamn pterodactyl?" "Precisely." At this point, the large dinosaur landed, and looked down at the mutants. "Even though I took some of his energy to return to be grand form, I mean no harm to you... in fact, I would propose an alliance with you mutants!""... what." Yeah, Lance was just growing more impatient with this thing, so if someone else would try and negotiate with the energy vampire who transforms into a fire-breathing dinosaur... |

"Oh, but why so hostile? Just because I need to feed on mutant energy to sustain my form?" the pterodactyl chuckled, as he looked down at the trio. "Don't think I don't know who you are... I've heard stories about Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil. A series of foes worthy to challenge Xavier's X-Men... it sounds like something I would be eager to join...""...well, you're a touch late for that." Lance grunted. "The X-Men have scattered, and Magneto's gone to some different place. We're more like the table scraps of his Brotherhood." The pterodactyl cackled. "Even better! It seems like your 'table scraps' do require some more members!"Lance grunted again, as he did feel his energy slowly coming back to him. It felt like this... vampire dinosaur... only needed a portion of energy to change into that form. Even still, the idea of him sucking up more energy was... well, not something he'd want around him. "...the hell do we even call you?" "An impeccable question... the name I have graced myself with is Sauron.""... WHAT." Even for Lance, that was hard to swallow. This guy seriously named himself after a storybook villain, especially one as well-recognized as that? And I thought Pietro had a ego problem...

But I am planning on delivering mutants, down at the bar, to Genosha, and it's not gonna be good for them if that guy decides to chow on their energy, instead." |
