Los Angeles Hospital: Arrival

Remaining silent, Bruce followed; expecting the Director to chew him out the instant they got back to base... or when they were on the jet. Whichever, really.

Soon all were inside the jet, which was set to close its rear hatch. As if it was light as a feather, the Quinjet lifted off the ground and then shot over the city.


A medic member looked of Jennifer with a scanner pen, seeing if anything would come up on the jet's computers.

And now that they were far from civilians, Fury instantly shot a dangerous look at Bruce. "What...did you do?"

Right as planned. "...I..." he began, as he let out a very brief sigh. "...I saw that her life signs were depleting rapidly, so... I ended up donating blood to her."

Cue appropriate response in 3, 2, 1...

"ARE YOU F****** INSANE?!?!"[/i] he roared, practically shuddering the jet. "HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN WHAT YOUR BLOOD DID TO SO MANY PEOPLE?!?[/i]

Yes, friends...Fury has fury!!"

Rather than freaking out like any rational human being would, Bruce simply narrowed his eyes. "You're asking that in jest, right?" he noted in a rather sarcastic tone. "Of course I knew the consequences of injecting my blood into another person! I know it better than you could possibly ever know!" As he continued, he clenched his hands together; still holding the Hulk in check, but nevertheless growing annoyed. "Besides, do you think I did that without thinking things through? How I wished that there was some other way of saving my cousin if possible?!"

Fortunetly, Jennifer was in another part of the jet. So she was spared of the truth....and Fury's fury.

"You're already in thin-ice with your other guy." he sternly said, glaring down at him. "If your own cousin joins in on the rampaging monster game, then-"

"Sir!!" Bolting into the door, a medic arrived in panic. "Her vitals...they're starting to rise."

"...dammit!!" He wondered why she hasn't transformed the moment she got the transfusion. Maybe it was rather slow on females...

She was put out to sleep when they were onboard. So, why hasn't she transformed yet? I goofed. XD;

Perhaps a push was needed...

"No fainting... you're missing the joke." Yes, she was dreaming about the moment in the warehouse today...

"Ngh..." She breathed rather hard, the scanners went ballistic...

But the memories of Joker wailing on her with a crowbar won't stop.

"Another one!" Swing.

"And that's two in a row!"

And they kept coming...

Then...

"...well, aren't you just the most perceptive attorney." Laughter. "Besides, look on the bright side! You can stop worrying about claiming vengeance for mommy now..."

Suddenly, her eyes shot open, glowing green. "...JOKER!" Cue the loud smashing noise at the back of the jet.

The instant he heard that noise, he grit his teeth. "...excuse me!" And he ran right past Fury and the medic whilst hurrying towards the loud noise; his fears rapidly realizing.

When Bruce got to the end...Jennifer was gone. All that was left was a smashed down stretcher, and a well sized hole on a part of the jet...

Bruce grit his teeth. If she went on a rampage through the town... he couldn't let that happen. He had to get her out of civilian reach ASAP before she ended up hurting someone...

...okay... this is gonna be risky, but the faster I find her... And he leapt out of the hole; gritting his teeth...



...as he suddenly shifted into the all-too familiar green giant, who jerked his head about to get a clue on where the traces of his blood, the gamma-irridated blood coursing through Jennifer's body, had gone off to.

"God frigg----" he swore up a storm as the jet wobbled uncontrollably, thanks to the air suction from the hole. It had to consume its time to make a landing before it could crash onto a building.
