38
Species:
human
Gender:
female

Personal Relationships (Optional):
Hawkman (Cartar Hall)- Her late husband. They fought along side each other, until he was killed in battle. It is said they are bound, every incarnation, but it hasn't been proven.

Occupation:
former Justice Society member, archeologist
Abilities:
Nth Metal: Her equipment is made of this mysterious alloy that is an transuranic iron with an atomic number of 676. It possesses innate anti-magical properties, is hyper-conductive and is able to invert mesons and gravitons. This metal can also ignore most gravity, and if crafted as wings or a belt, grants the user of flight.
Artificial Feathered Wings: Flight through the use of Nth Metal wings; also direction controlled self-powered flight. Her wings allow her to control navigation and guidance during flight, though they can be "flapped" through use of shoulder motions. Her wings can also be used to deflect magical attacks.
Nth Metal Belt & Boots: Hawkgirl flies by way of an anti-gravity Belt & boots constructed from Nth Metal its abilities are controlled mentally.
Nth Metal Energy Mace: Conducts a special kind of electricity that also disrupts magical energy.
Also, Shiera is skilled in martial arts; able to take down gangs of thugs, single-handily.
Weaknesses:
While the armor grants her slight durability, she is still human. Also, because of sorrow she feels for the death of her husband, Shiera is very bitter and full of anger. When in a fight, she charges in, guns blazing, without looking and planning, first.
Personality:
Shiera is a wild warrior woman. Her motto is 'less talking, more action', meaning she solves problems with a swing of her mace to the face of her enemies. Though she did have a sweeter and flirty side, but ever since her husband died, she lost all hope in life. She became bitter, and uncaring. Now a-days, she focuses on her archeology, just to keep her mind off of everything, and pretend all her past exploits never happened.
Likes:
Fighting, weapons, her husband, archeology
Dislikes:
the death of her husband, people asking her for help

Bio:
Since her teenaged days, Shiera was best friends with Cartar Hall, which in time bloomed into romance. During their collage days, majoring in archeology, they were part of an exhibition crew in Egypt, where they stumbled onto a secret temple filled with ancient armor and weapons...especially bird wings. All of these were made of Nth metal, which Carter read on its hieroglyphics.
However, as he learned about them, he seemed to gone crazy, for he learned that he and Shiera were true owners of these weapons. Apparently, legend say that these armor and weapons once belong to alien couple called the Thangarians, that crashed landed on Egypt. They became kings and queens when the locals considered them as gods from the heavens. Carter believed he and Shiera were their incarnates.
Without telling their superiors, Cartar took his findings back home, much to Shiera's warnings. He adorned the armor, and, according to him, felt the spirit of the original Hawkman. He used his newfound powers to save people in a apartment on fire. Fearing for his life, Shiera slid on some Nth armor and wings of her own to go after him...and help him out.
Feeling inspired by their deeds, they decided to use their armor to become superheroes....in the shadows, at least.
Soon, they met with other superheroes, like the Star-Spangled Kid, Wildcat, the original Flash, Hourman, and more, and formed a team called the Justice Society of America. They fought villainy in secret for years until JSA leader Hawkman was killed, sending his wife, Hawkgirl, over the edge. She tracked down the killer, Joar Mahkent, the Icicle, and took him down, leaving him in a catatonic state.
Around this time a government agency approached the JSA, demanding that they work for them and for them to unmask themselves. When they refused, the agency uncovered the JSA's secret identities on their own, and then began to hunt them down with the help of the police. The JSA was arrested, but with no evidence or conviction to charge them with, they were released. Unfortunately, knowing what the government was capable of doing to get what they wanted, the JSA chose to disband with their leader fallen.
Anything else? (Optional)
Yes, based on Smallville, but I switched roles, making Hawkman dead instead of Hawkgirl.
