Name(s):
Henry "Hank" McCoy
Nicknames:
Hank, Beast, Kreature
Age:
38 (I think...)
Species:
Mutant
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Good
Residence:
Dundee, Illinois
Occupation:
Geneticist, former biochemist, college lecturer, former X-Men member
Abilities:
The Beast's mutated body can reach superhuman feats. His strength, speed and endurance make him a rather reliable member of the X-Men, he can crawl up tall buildings and land safely on the ground from them, withstanding the impact to avoid broken bones. He can heal fast as well, and he has an accute sense of hearing and smell. Beyond that, Henry is a brilliant man, earning a Ph. D in biochemistry. He's an excellent teacher to the students of the institute, and he can keep expanding his mind to prove anything he can to his friends.
Weaknesses:
Despite Hank's physical strengths, he does have quite a few weak points. His body isn't quite as powerful as say Juggernaut, or as fast as oooh Quicksilver. He needs some momentum to get going up to his proper speeds. Despite getting used to ridicule from his childhood, sometimes it can get to him.
Personality:
Don't be fooled by Hank's rough exterior, he's a patient man with a mind sharper than most. He's very calm and collected, always willing to help people learn, and always willing to find new books to read. He can easily get absorbed into learning something new, and establishing it to everyday life if he can. He always cares for his students and fellow X-Men members.
Likes:
Fellow mutants, Xavier, Logan, his students, books
Dislikes:
Being called a monster, losing his bookmarks
Appearance:
I never did like those stupidly small shorts.
Bio:
Hank was born a Mutant, thanks to his father's work in a bio-chemical lab. This allowed him to have larger limbs than most. Of course, this earned ridicule from his fellow classmates growing up, which did quite a number on poor Hank's mind. Though his finals years of high school were nicer on him, thanks to his girlfriend standing up to him, and earning a spot as a star player on the football team. Not only that, but his talent in academics excelled very far. One day, his parents were kidnapped by a villain, Conquistador, who wanted to force Hank to work under him. Though thanks to the X-Men, they were saved. Hank grew up under Xavier's tutelage after the rescue. Years later, his body mutated more and more, but it did nothing to his growing intelligence. He had a place in the institute as a teacher, and helped so many mutant students over the years. However, the explosion at the manor scattered the entire group. Hank was the only one who came back to the manor, and had plans to rebuild. He has firm belief that Xavier and Jean are still alive...
