Temporary/Limited Levitation: It has recently been revealed that, due to his prolonged use of the harness, the Vulture can levitate or float his body even without the harness, however at a very slow speed. Like his other abilities, it is probable that this ability too would fade with time away from the harness.
Super-Strength: Withe the use of his magnetic technology, Toomes can provide himself with super-strength, being able to lift a water tank easily.
Electromagnetic Wing Harness: Utilizing his harness the Vulture is able to fly with a natural winged flight limit (95 miles per hour). The anti-graviton generator attached to his flight suit enables him to take to the air by flapping the bird-like wings he wears under his arms. When wearing his electromagnetic harness, the Vulture possesses superhuman strength, vitality and athletic prowess. The harness increases his physical strength to the absolute human maximum enabling him to lift roughly 700 pounds. When he removes the harness his enhanced abilities slowly fade, although the rate at which his abilities fade remains unclear. The harness also (according to some sources) increases his lifespan. The Vulture can reach speeds of up to 95 miles per hour and attain a maximum height of 11,000 feet.
Weaknesses:
Flight pack can be punctured until reinforced, also flight helmet can be torn off. Also, if one of his wings is destroyed, he can't steer himself in the air.
Personality:
Like many mad scientists, Toomes considers himself to be a great genius, and anyone who says otherwise shall pay. He has a furious temper when one steals or toys with his work. He has too much pride, and will prove the worth of his work above all competition, by any means.

Toomes had designed a magnetic flight system and presented it to OsCorp. However, Norman Osborn rejected the designs and four months later, announced that OsCorp is developing Flight Tech. Toomes was furious but Osborn refused to apologize for it, stating that he does not have the credibility to prove he invented the system and that no one would believe that he, an old timer, would have done it. So he donned his flight suit, calling himself the Vulture (he had mistaken a remark from Osborn, as he actually called him a buzzard) and swooped in on Osborn, taking hostage to demand that he announce to the world that the flight tech is his invention, all the money he deserves and an immediate apology. However, Osborn adamantly refuses to do so and Spider-Man go in the way twice.
Toomes soon joined up with Doctor Octopus, Rhino, Sandman and Shocker in breaking out of prison and getting revenge on Spider-Man.
