Name(s):
Phil Coulson
Nicknames:
Agent, Son of Coul (Thor only)
Age:
45
Species:
Human
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Good
Residence:
Wherever the job requires
Occupation:
S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, principal
Abilities:
Being an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson possesses basic martial arts training, and is knowledged in usage of fire-arms and basic S.H.I.E.L.D. protocol. He's also skilled in acting inconspicious, which makes him ideal for undercover missions.
Weaknesses:
Though he has basic martial arts training, it's only meant for dealing with common thugs in smaller quantities; he's not, by any means, meant for close-quarters combat, and against anything that's superpowered, he's generally at his wit's end.
Personality:
Coulson is the kind of man who generally doesn't let himself be surprised by anything; as it comes with the job, being surprised by half of what S.H.I.E.L.D. deals with would be redundant. He acts very dryly and is somewhat socially awkward while on duty, but has a sharp wit and knows a lot more than he initially appears to. Oh, and he's also a bit of a fanboy of Captain America; having collected vintage trading cards for a good majority of his life.
Likes:
Doing his job, Captain America, Nick Fury, heroes with conviction
Dislikes:
Tony Stark's attitude, being left out of the loop
Appearance:
Bio:
As he grew up, Phil Coulson grew up on stories of the great Captain America and how he proved to give the American people hope during World War 2; even going so far as to start collecting his trading cards. Eventually, he found himself in the employment of S.H.I.E.L.D., with the idea of doing good as Captain America did before he vanished.
Since then, Coulson has dealt with a multitude of events which lead back to superpowered beings, including Tony Stark's infamous escape from the Middle East, the imprisoment of Emil Blonsky, Obadiah Stane's rise and fall from power, the first discovery of Mjolnir, and locating Bruce Banner before "Thunderhead" Ross' army division would get to him first. Presently, he's gone undercover as the acting principal of one Peter Parker's school, in a bid for S.H.I.E.L.D. to keep an eye on the webslinger, and any other possible superpowered beings attending that school.
Anything else? (Optional)
Oh, what? Phil Coulson totally counts as a Marvel character at this point!
