Neo Gotham City: To Awake a Legend

The Batcave....of the future...



Has been the house of Batman for many decades. These days, it was mostly a fortress of solitude for the elderly Bruce Wayne, and despite the fact that he coaches the new Batman, it still is.

But hey, he prefers it more than the outside life, which, besides protecting the streets of Gotham, there was hardly nothing left for him there. But there was also something else worth concerning...the war between mutants and humans, which caused devastation across the country. It's only a matter of time before it reaches his city.

That is why this has to change, so first, he needs to wait for his protege.

And he wouldn't have to wait long, as steps were heard coming down the stairs.

The young new Batman came in. "Did you wait long, old man?" McGinnis joked a bit.

[AnT]

"...you're late." he grunted, still staring at the computer screens.

[kelik]

"Got caught up at school, teach wouldn't let me leave till I did his stupid make up test..." He came up, putting his jacket on a chair as he looked up at the computer screen. "What's up?"

[AnT]

He didn't say anything, but watched the many footage of the human/mutant war. People getting killed, towns being leveled. Also riots of anti-mutant supporters kept storming around streets of main cities, holding up signs with illustrations of anything you can imagine.

He quietly watched too. "Yeah, things aren't going to get better anytime soon..." He leaned back. "All the chaos out there makes this place seem peaceful." Things have been a bit quiet in the city lately, even the Joker Gangs haven't been making too much of a riot. At least compared to this.

[AnT]

"It's about to get worse. The fight could spread over to Gotham, as rebels are rumored to be hiding here."

[kelik]

"...." Now he looked serious. "That's not happening after I have a talk with 'em." He got up.

[AnT]

"That's not all." He then brought up a picture of Impulse. "Bart Allen managed to construct a time machine, with the help of Nathaniel Tryon, also known as Neutron. Obviously he attends on stopping the war, but with his recklessness, he could make things worse."

[kelik]

"Seriously?" He turned back. "They sent Impulse of all people to the past?" He sighed, a bit surprised the world didn't blow up yet...

[AnT]

"Not really, this was his own idea." he sighed, frowning at the images. "This has become critical. Even if we get rid of the rebels, the mutants in this city will still be targeted by the MRDs. That has to be the reason for their presence."

[kelik]

"Good point. But how are we gonna solve that? It's not like we can force em out..."

[AnT]

Slowly, he used his cane for support to get himself off his seat. "We can't do it here. In a way, we're going to have to help Bart, but that time machine is pretty much one way. He took the only chrono capacitor we confiscated from Kang, years ago, so we can't follow him. But there is one person that can help in another way..."

Slowly, he walked over to a lab table that had some type of helmet

"Whoa, that what I think it is?" He would make a joke about it being some new bike helmet, but he didn't think the old man was in the mood.

[AnT]

"I was able to modify the Cerebro helmet to work portability. I need you to head to the ruins of the Xavier Institute and wake him up. Years ago, I placed him in a life-status pod when he was in a coma. My readings show that he came out of it. All you need to do is open the pod."
