Simply put, this is a place to list off the events that have taken place earlier in the RP, for newcomers who may want a quick refresher on the current story before jumping into the overarching plot.
Queens: A Normal NY Day
India: Crashed!
Mississippi: Back to Roots
Queens: The Usual Teen Day
The Arctic: I was Frozen Yesterday
Ravencroft: The Roommate
Brooklyn: The Godfather of Crime
Queens: A Normal NY Day
- A normal, dull day reigns over Queens, as several people attend a local bank, including Mary Jane Watson, Blade and a couple of armed robbers.
- As the robbers try pulling off the heist, they're suddenly attacked by The Almighty Thor, who joins forces with Blade for the moment.
- Elsewhere, Spider-Man swings about on his usual business, when he suddenly senses the trouble at the bank.
- The situation escalates as the robbers are reinforced by The Wrecking Crew, who start a brawl with Thor and Blade.
- Soon enough, once Spider-Man joins in, The Wrecking Crew is summarily defeated, aside from Thunderball, who takes Mary Jane hostage as leverage.
- His plot is foiled by a sudden splotch of symbiote goop that attempts to bond with him; though it's repelled due to Thor, it manages to escape through the women's bathroom.
- Things escalate as the group learns of a sudden breakout at the Ravencroft prison, as Spider-Man and Thor rush to deal with the outbreak, while Blade wanders off after them.
- Finally, as Mary Jane prepares to leave, unbeknownst to her, the symbiote slips within her pocketbook...
India: Crashed!
- Two individuals, Gertrude and her raptor companion Old Lace, somehow find themselves stuck in Calcutta, India due to mysterious circumstances.
- They're discovered by Doctor Bruce Banner, who offers them shelter since they're quite obviously lost.
- When they arrive at Banner's home, however, poachers attack them, wounding Banner as they intend to take down Old Lace for a precious bounty.
- Unfortunately for them, wounding Banner was a fatal mistake, as he transforms into The Incredible Hulk, who makes swift work of the poachers.
- With the threat disarmed, Gert and Old Lace seemingly see a softer side of the hulking beast, who doesn't perceive the two of them as a threat.
- The peace is shattered, however, with the appearance of another Hulk-like beast; a red Hulk who seems more intelligent than the savage Hulk, taunting him as the two of them do battle.
- Even with his seemingly superior strength and seeming control over fire, the Red Hulk eventually abandons the battle, leaving the savage Hulk to lay down to rest. Gert and Old Lace soon collapse with them.
- As they rest, SHIELD troops try to sedate the hulking beast, but with no effort on their part, the Hulk soon transforms back into Banner.
- He is soon approached by Nick Fury, who wakes Banner to inform him of General "Thunderbolt" Ross' decision to use Banner's blood to become the Red Hulk previously engaged.
- The topic then shifts to something that can't be discussed in the open, so Banner is brought with Nick Fury to a different location; though they bring along the sleeping Gert and Old Lace as well.
Mississippi: Back to Roots
- Leaping off a train she had been hitching a ride on, Rogue finds herself in Caldecott County; the worst place for her to be in, given this was where her powers first manifested in the worst way possible.
- Making matters worse, she's suddenly thrust face-to-face with Deadpool, whose knowledge of the fourth wall and metahumor only makes her mood worse.
- His knowledge of the fourth wall does prove useful in fending off snipers that had their sights trained on Rogue, who flees when the MRD, the Mutant Response Division, make themselves known to the two of them.
- As Rogue attempts to evade the MRDs on her tail, Deadpool effortlessly claims the lives of soldiers opening fire on him.
- When he
reads the previous postdiscovers that the MRDs just surrounded Rogue, Deadpool makes a sharp run towards her while fending off an attack chopper. - Tapping into Nightcrawler's power to escape the MRDs, Rogue suddenly finds herself inside the school, face-to-face with the same boy who she first used her powers on...
- ...and this prompts her into somehow transforming into The Juggernaut, who Deadpool actually mistakes for the real deal as the two of them start fighting.
- As the fight devolves, Rogue loses control over her powers, prompting more transformations ranging from Blob to Storm to Cyclops, before she regained control over herself.
- After Deadpool dispatches more MRDs, he learns of the circumstances as to why Rogue lost control over her powers, and the two of them quickly leave town.
Queens: The Usual Teen Day
- Unwinding after what happened at the bank, Mary Jane enters a fast food joint to unwind, when she's met with her classmate Sally Avril, who has plans to become a superhero of her own, to MJ's dismay.
- After they talk, Gwen Stacy enters the same joint as them, prompting MJ to take Gwen into the women's bathroom for a talk, regarding Sally's desire to be a superhero.
- As they leave, Lance Alvers enters the joint as well, prompting Sally to start flirting with him, to his dismay; dismay that just grows as MJ and Gwen return, with the former also making passes at him.
- This comes to an immediate halt as what appear to be vampires suddenly attack a random passerby, prompting Sally to rush off to start off her heroic debut, with Lance quickly following.
- With Sally, or Bluebird as her moniker is, proving to be less than effective in dealing with the vampires, Lance inadvertedly discovers their weakness to sunlight when using his seismic powers to repel them.
- As the police escort the likes of MJ and Gwen away, the MRD suddenly arrive on the scene; dispatching their Sentinel units to take down the vampire, but also Lance.
- With the vampires proving a sudden distraction, Lance makes a break for it to escape the Sentinels, with Sally inexplicably deciding to follow him.
- As the Sentinels seemingly surround Lance, however, he's taken out of the area by Pietro Maximoff, leaving the two of them to discuss the future of the Brotherhood, after the formation of Genosha and the disappearance of Mystique. They agree to try and recruit new members, starting with a joint in New Jersey.
- In the meantime, Sally is let off easy by the MRD, even in spite of her attempted vigilantism and association with Lance, however briefly that was.
The Arctic: I was Frozen Yesterday
- Over in the Arctic, SHIELD has set up a perimeter for seemingly no reason; a reason that Black Cat quickly discovers.
- The reason being that SHIELD discovered the frozen body of Captain America, still perfectly preserved after his disappearance over 70 years ago.
- SHIELD apprehend Black Cat for her snooping, but when they discover the Captain's body, he becomes top priority.
- Upon discovering the sudden influx of improved technology over his own time, the Captain swiftly flees from SHIELD, trying to piece together what had happened to him during his last fateful encounter against the Red Skull.
- Suddenly, a massive frost giant besets him; aiming to attack the Captain, and Black Cat who managed to slip out after him. The two of them manage to fend off the creature, sending it plummeting to its demise.
- With this, they're met with more SHIELD troops, led by Agent Phil Coulson, who personally greets the Captain, and takes him aboard their aircraft to head to a different SHIELD base; taking Black Cat with them to drop her off back at the mainland.
Ravencroft: The Roommate
- Locked in his cell, Eddie Brock isn't having a good time; not only feeling a yearning for the symbiote suit lingering out in the open, but also feeling such hatred towards his cellmate, mass-murderer Cletus Kassidy.
- Suddenly, the symbiote he recognizes slips within his cell, bonding with him to once again form the symbiote warrior Venom, who tears his way through the guards in his way.
- Suddenly, a strange gas erupts around them, somehow corrupting part of the symbiote surrounding Venom. The corrupted nanites emerge as a reddish symbiote, that swiftly bonds with Cletus; giving way for another symbiote warrior, Carnage.
- Not amused in the slightest by Carnage's acquisition of part of his symbiote suit, Venom engages the blood-red symbiote in combat.
- Thankfully for the staff at Ravencroft, one Tony Stark is already enroute to the prison, clad in his Iron Man suit with a mind to take care of business.
- However, when Iron Man arrives to engage the symbiotes in combat, a mass prison break suddenly ensues after someone hacked into the security system; leaving Tony to fend off a larger amount of rogues as the symbiotes continue their feud.
- He is soon reinforced by unexpected allies; Thor arrives to deal with the prisoners within the compound, while those who managed to get outside are assaulted by an army of squirrels, led by Doreen Green, otherwise known as Squirrel Girl. Other reinforcements include both Spider-Man and Blade, the former who directly engages Venom in combat.
- In the meantime, The Shocker is summarily recruited by the Kingpin to kidnap a certain someone, along with The Vulture.
- With the rogues being subdued and Carnage suddenly escaping, Venom breaks off his fight with Spider-Man to chase after his counterpart, leaving him and Iron Man to attempt to stop Shocker and Vulture from fleeing with the older cat burglar.
- Sadly, as they shoot down a plane to cover their escape, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Thor are forced to let them flee in order to save the civilians aboard the plane.
- With the chaos settling, Tony takes the time to learn of where the hacker's signal originated from (revealed to be in Connecticut), making it his priority to chase the perpetrator down before a repeat performance could be issued.
- With some convincing, Spider-Man agrees to let Thor and Squirrel Girl accompany him into the city to hunt down the two symbiotes, while Tony shoots off to prepare for his trip to Connecticut.
Brooklyn: The Godfather of Crime
- In an undisclosed location, Shocker and Vulture bring the cat burglar before the Kingpin and Hammerhead, with the former revealing the significance of the cat burglar's presence; the knowledge of the super soldier formula that created Captain America.
- After bringing up the idea of using the Cat's daughter, the Black Cat, as leverage for his cooperation, the Kingpin sends out Hammerhead, Shocker and Vulture to kidnap the girl...
