Bayville - Unwelcomed Newcomer

"....yeah..." she still doesn't like it, but-

"That does sound like things are looking into your favor, though." a friendly voice spoke.

"GAH!" which startled the girl.

Stepping out of the hedges came the man in the red cape.

Almost immediately, he glared at the man whilst snarling; hands clenching. "Who's this guy?!"



Immediately, she set a hand on Logan's shoulder. "Calm down. He's a friend." She looked back at the caped man with a smile. "...it's good to see you again, Kal-El."



With a light snarl, he looked at the man. "...that's no ordinary name..." he murmured, before briefly sniffing at the air surrounding him. "...and no ordinary smell either. What's your deal, bub?"

"Mr. Logan, I presume..." he nodded, keeping a calm tone in his voice. "I apologize for appearing, unannounced, but I escorted Ms. Monroe, and her friend, to America, and lend my, and my friends, aid to help you X-Men."

Blinking wide, she remembered stuff in the news about this guy, who stopped an F2 tornado in Cincinnati. "Aren't yuh that Superman guy?"

"Well that's what the media called me; yes." he smiled with a shrug.

"...Superman, huh..." With a grunt, he folded his arms. "...so you and your buddies are gonna help us out now, too?"



"...we truly appreciate any aid you can offer, Kal-El." Ororo spoke with a sincere tone.

[kelik]

"Indeed..." He nodded. "It's nice to meet a friendly face for a change."

"...pardon?"

"Err..."

"I do what I can." Oh and, if Emma would try to peak in his mind, don't bother. It'll be difficult because his mind doesn't work the same way as humans. "Now...I'm quite surprised you managed to get some crew to fix your mansion."

"Because of our 'sponsor', here." she said, still with an untrusting tone at Emma.

"Oh." Glancing at Emma, "I believe I never seen your record on the X-Men files, Miss...?"

[kelik]

"...Emma Frost." She turned to him. She did try, it was about as complex as a Chinese puzzle box alright... "I'm the newest member of the team. Charmed." She smiled.

"...hrm..." Logan just glanced aside.



"...it's a bit sudden, but that's how things have turned out." Ororo spoke with a small nod.

"Frost? Wait...Emma Frost...didn't you run that mutant school in Massachusetts?" If it was a secret, his friend, Chloe, had ways to find secrets.

Now THAT got her attention. "What?!? Ah never heard of this!!"

[kelik]

"Is this true?" He looked over, surprised too.

"...well, I wasn't planning on bringing that up until later, but yes, it's true." Her brow twitched a bit at that, but she kept her composure with a smile. "I've been known to be quite an aggressive tutor at times among my students."

Both of them looked over at Emma in surprise as well.

"From what I gathered, you opened your school a little after mutants were exposed...and suddenly stopped after the X-Men disbanded. Why?"

[kelik]

"My school was ransacked by the MRD, and the majority of my students have been captured. I have no idea where most of them are..." She closed her eyes.

"...you..." Ororo gasped in horror at that.



"...why didn't ya bring that up right from the get-go, huh?" Logan grunted. "It'd have helped get things moving a lot smoother."

"I don't really like talking about myself. Besides, it was so long ago. Maybe some of them are..."

"..."

"...anyway, I've construction to forsee. Is there any other business you have in mind Mr...Superman?"
