Smiling softly he nodded. "Take your time, Sheira. I'll just go put this in my car." He motioned to the box.

Sorry for missing this.
Diana merely waited for Sheira.

Heading out, Pat slipped out a side door, over to his newer sedan and popped the trunk. He was happy with his new life... But things like this made him want to put the suit back on. Shutting the trunk he rolled his shoulders. Lets face it, he thought, I'm too old for this kinda thing. With that he headed back in to wait on Sheira.

Sure enough, after she left Diana to her apartment, showed her where the TV (and how it works), and the kitchen (and shown her the wonders of a refrigerator), she left with Pat to catch up on old times...and maybe mourn for their loss.

In the car, a head popped up from the back seat, watching Pat and Sheira make their way down the street. "I knew he was a liar, he said he had some work to do. Why's he out with another woman."
The young blonde teen narrowed her eyes, jumping to the worst possible conclusions. "So doesn't deserve my mom." With that Courtney slipped out of the car and popped the trunk, expecting to find love notes and trinkets from the affair. Only to find a couple of costumes and some accessories. ".... Okay... Wasn't expecting that...whatever that -is-... Where am I?"
Looking up at the museum, Courtney was only more confused. She looked around, and slipped inside the museum. It was huge, and nothing like any museum she had ever seen. It seemed to honor.... Superheroes.
Now Courtney was even more confused, why would Pat be here? He was an engineer he was about as boring as you could get. Why would he be hanging out in a superhero museum? It didn't make any sense.
Courtney wasn't nerdy or anything, but she did enjoy hearing about superheroes, and though she'd never tell her friends... If she had any in the new town, she loved comics. The idea of superheroes was amazing and it would be so cool to meet one.
She slowly forgot why she'd entered in the first place, becoming more and more enamored with the museum as she wandered. A room caught her attention.. As a golden glow began emanating from it. Her eyes brightened, and she peeked in. A staff was glowing brightly and suddenly it lifted into the air. Startled, Courtney took a quick step back, and the staff started rocketing through the air at her. With a yelp, Courtney started running!
She dodged and ducked behind exhibits trying to out maneuver it, crashing and sounds of her plan not working rang our behind her. She ended up in a dead end as the staff rocketed towards her. Courtney threw her hand out in front of her to try and protect herself... When she felt it gently stop in her palm. Opening her eyes, she was surprised to see it floating against her palm, waiting for her to grab it.
"...no...freakin.... Way" she was pretty sure this was how origin stories were. She closed her hand and she stared at the staff in awe.
