Rhode Island: Speedy Family Get-together

With a deep thought, Chloe Sullivan approached the Man of Steel, who was fiddling with the Zeta Beam controls. "I don't like this."

"I know Impulse came here related to bad news, but you don't need to worry about it. We-"

"I meant leaving him in the kitchen. If his powers are related to Wally's, it's double the grocery budget."

A small smirk her made, as he continued programming the controls.

"Any word from Wally or John?"

"I gave them the word to get over here, so I'm expecting them through the Zeta Tubes at-"

"Wally?! Zeta Tubes?!" she scoffed, knowing that the Fastest Man Alive prefers his personal method of travel.

"....it could happen."

Well, it didn't, as a crimson blur readily appeared around the HQ. Outside, the fastest man alive frowned as he continued to circle.


"Dang, where's the door on this thing?" he asked no one in particular, circling at maybe half the speed of sound.

A green light came from the sky out of the horizon to the east.
As it approached it took a more human shape, until the Green Lantern floated in, frowning.

"Damn it, kid, did they forget to give you a key?" asked John Stewart. He was older than the other heroes by around ten years all the way around, so they were all 'kid' to him.


"Might've lost it running past Pittsburgh, had to stop for dinner!" said the Flash with a grin, holding up a huge bag of burgers he'd bought for dinner.


"Great. You at least got one for me?" he asked, moaning, wiping his face, "I've got to make this quick anyhow."

And a part of the foot of the mountain lifted up, mechanically, revealing a wide ramp, inside.

"Now that's what I call service!" chuckled the Flash as he dashed inside.


John shook his head and followed. "Kid, you're going to burn a hole through the ground..."
He knew it wasn't true, but did Flash have to run EVERYWHERE?!

And probably would be in the center of the Zeta Tube room, where Superman and Chloe (aka: Watchtower), stood.

"Must be a pain babysitting him, John." she smirked.

"I've got an entire sector to babysit; watching over him is what Linda's for," said John, shaking his head.

Wally was already eating a burger, though he left the huge bag on the table if anyone else wanted one. There were like ten in there.

"Hey, that's uncalled for!" said the Flash, pointing a finger, "I do fine on my own!"


"You only get as far as that leash of hers lets you go and you know it."


Flash gulped down a bite and grinned. His wife was his pride and joy- he even had the wedding ring on under his costume.

Oh yes, Linda Park; that reporter in Keystone City that always pined, and maybe stalk, Flash.

Sighing, after he was done reprograming, he floated over to the two. "Alright, glad you two made it. We have someone that...could be related to Wally."

"That's not a surprise. I'm astonished that half the population of Central City under the age of 3 isn't related to him."


"Hey!" said Flash. Yeah, he had been a bit of a horn-dog, but ever since he was dating Linda (and now married to), that had gone out the window. Fast.


"What do you mean by related, in all seriousness?"

Clearing her throat, she looked away, and shouted, "Bart!! Get over here!!"

Right before the Flash, would be like a younger variation wearing his own suit, "Congradulation, its a BOY! Well, your Boy's Boy!"

"Wait...this is..."


"If the kid's telling the truth, sounds like he's your grandson."


"...I mean I talked with Linda and we want to have kids, but...what the heck?"

"Bart is...well is from the future." he said, scratching his head. He wouldn't of believed it, if he didn't done time traveling himself.

"Yeah, the whole 'Apocalyptic future' plotline, thing." she smirked, rocking her head a bit.

[Chibi-Cosmo]

"Wow, so this grandpa at his prime." The smirk looking at the Flash up and down, "Love the red, it inspired my outfit."

John couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

"Apocalyptic future? Damn, what'd we do to screw up so that happened?" asked the Green Lantern.


"Red cars get pulled over more on the highway," said Wally, blinking a bit, still, "What exactly you doing here, anyhow?"

Where's everybody else?

"We're not sure, but it might have something to do with the human/mutant war. Which is why I'm trying to help the X-Men out, a little. If you recalled, I told you I went to the future, years ago, and a paradox happened that changed it. I think Bart's timeline is connected."
