The sun disappeared over the horizon, slipping into the ocean for the night. As the dark settled over the beach a flash brightened the sand and water for a moment as a large bubble appeared over the beach. It hovered over the sand before slamming to the ground.. a large crack running over the side of it. It sat on the beach and a slit opened on the side, a young man stumbling out coughing as smoke poured out of the large sphere. "Well... that went wonderfully," his features in a slight annoyed grimace as he turned back towards his craft. He frowned at the crack and smoke, a simple fix if he were in his own time, but here on a planet he knew little about in a time almost forgotten in his period, he wasn't so sure. In hindsight, it likely hadn't been a well advised move to come searching for the anomaly alone. With a sigh, the green teen went about looking over his craft, assessing the damage, he likely wasn't getting home any time soon. His team was going to be livid.

But at the very least, he would see something far down shore; lights of different color. Perhaps a party was happening, because he would hear the faint sound of people, and music.

A slight glance down the beach at the sounds had his thoughts racing. He didn't know much about this world, thus he knew nothing of their customs. Unsure of how receptive of beings from other planets they were, he decided quickly it was best to keep his distance from the natives. If he was capable of fixing his communications system he could reach his team and have another bubble sent to assist him in his endeavors. He was aware many beings from his time resembled the humans more closely than himself, having a teammate that could pass as one of them would be beneficial. He only hoped the flash signifying his arrival hadn't garnered any attention.

Ah yes, a massive beach party reigned in the night, with so many young people in their late teens or twenties partying like the world was paradise. Of course, that's the feeling for most people in Hawaii; the land does look like a paradise. But not for this man, who look he haven't got any sleep. While everyone was having a good time, he just sat by the outdoor bar, drinking margaritas. There are times he wondered why people roar so much joy like this. Don't they know that the world is going to be at war? They probably don't, which was why he moved here. Another reason because... "Hey Scott!!" @alex@ A young teen, with blonde hair, and dressed like a surfer had a big smile on his face, and surrounded by two girl in bikinis, as he walked up to the man. "Yo, meet Katrinka, and Libby. We're gonna hit the mad house over there." Even with his blue look, he arched a brow. "Mad house?" @alex@ "The dance floor, man. Looks like a wild floor, huh dude? You in?" Grinning, he leaned over to him and nudge him, "Libby has it going on for you." "Nah, I think I had too much." he sighed. "Feeling a bit tipsy." @alex@ With a pout, he reeled away. Another attempt to lighten his mood failed. Seems even dragging him to this beach party didn't help matters. But oh well...there are ladies. "Well alright. She's saving the spot, though. C'mon, ladies." With a grin, he escorted the girls to the dance crowd. "...." He knew what his brother was trying to do....but he still felt like he be unfaithful if he moved on with someone else. "Hm?" Since he was mostly outside the party, he was able to see a big flash down the shore. That flash looked like some kind of explosion, and spending most of his life battling evil, he had a bit of paranoia. There's a chance that flash could be a threat to these people. Plus, this gives him an excuse to leave this place. So he did, walking down the dark shore.

Sand, sand was getting everywhere. In the nooks and crannies, into the delicate equipment he needed to fix the console. Brainy rubbed his eyes and stepped back again, looking over the main console of the bubble. This wasn't good. So long as he was on this beach he wasn't going to get it running at all, let alone soon. He quickly turned his attention to the comm system. It likely was his only chance to get any assistance from his friends, the sand likely wouldn't cause any issues there. However, several of the wires and connections had become damaged in the overheating of the main console. Taking a small tool from his case he set over to the console, a light hum pulling small screws from the seemingly seamless metal and opening a small panel. One look inside confirmed his suspicions. "I'm going to need new wires." The question quickly became, where? He couldn't simply walk into a convenience store and ask for wires, not to mention he didn't carry any type of currency on his person. He was certain that wouldn't go over well and preferred not to find out how these people handled someone who was obviously not human. He stepped lightly out of the large silver orb and sat on the opening, staring into space as his mind ran a thousand miles a second. The waves crashed against the shore and a sea breeze gusted gently over the beach. Preoccupied with his problem along with the natural elements, he simply couldn't hear much more than the waves on the sand. All his conclusions came back to one thing, he was going to need assistance.

Of course he was going to have to settle with him, who wondered if this was just some amateur villain in the making. On his guard, he hand his hand over his red glasses. "Hey!"

"Grife," Brainy grumbled under his breath, looking over at the person calling out to him. Perfect, absolutely perfect. He glanced over, surprised at the fact it was only one person. A slight quirk of his eyebrow, Brainy lifted his hands to show they were empty. He suspected the light from his craft was creating enough of a backlight this human would see he wasn't armed, as well as not see the color of his skin. "I'm not a threat... I suppose you could say... My car broke down."

A rather strange car, filled with such electronic that only Forge would probably understand. Still, he can tell a threat, and this guy seemed too much of a strange...nerd guy to be one. "Yeah...some car. Who are you?"

"Querl... You don't seem terribly surprised.... I didn't catch your name..." Brainy eyed him carefully, he hadn't gone for a weapon, he'd gone for his glasses, his posture seemed defensive and the confidence behind it suggested he'd been trained and likely trained well. He'd have to be careful around this person. He stayed seated, so not to alarm his new acquaintance.

"Scott Summers." he said, with a tone that still seem weary of the stranger.

Quirking an eyebrow, he glanced down the beach where he came from. AH! So that was it. This..Scott... saw him as a potential threat. "You needn't worry about me. I plan on staying quite far away from the noise and population down the beach. I don't plan on causing any potential problems or confrontations. I'd actually hoped to fix this before anyone came down the beach."

After dealing with hostile people, and evil, Scott can tell a threat from another...mostly. So he loosen himself up. "Alright, then. But it's best you at least get this thing out of here. It can't be left here, especially durning broad daylight."

"And that is where the problem lies. All the equipment and materials I require to fix it are ...at home. If I could find the proper supplies, I could fix the communications system and call my colleagues. Unfortunately, when my control panel essentially exploded, all the wiring inside was damaged beyond use. The most I could do right now is maybe shield it from sight." He frown. "Basically, I'm stranded."

Yeah, he figured that, but he was more concerned with anyone, nearby, seeing it. "We'll figure that out, soon. But like I said, we need to get it out of here. We can't leave it here, especially when the sun rises, when people will likely show up around here."

Hide a large orb from sight, easy enough. He climbed in carefully, activated some of the still working commands, and the orb vanished. Brainy climbed out, "Will that suffice for now?"
