Skartheim: It's Mortal Combat!!

The son of Odin stepped up to Bill and patted his back, a bit softly this time, to not irratate his injuries. "You deserve nothing better, Bill. You are a noble warrior, and you saved my life." He smiled. "And I must admit...I haven't had fights like that in oh so long."

With a touch of a smile, Bill turned to Thor. "...you, in turn, Thor, allowed me one of my greatest battles I've ever fought. I truly am proud to call you my most worthy opponent... nay, not only that, but indeed, one of the finest warriors I have ever encountered."

@odin@ "Now, if I may, Warrior of the Stars, I believe you seek knowledge of the demon who destroyed your realm. Behold, a godly beast all of Asgard knows of his name..."

And a large image formed before the warriors...



@odin@ "The Fire Demon, Surtur!!"

Many of the warriors in the hall gasped and muttered.

"Surtur?!" He looked rather stunned indeed. "The demon of Muspelheim?! That was the fiend?!" Thor thought the demon he spoke of was powerful, but he never imagined it was the most fearsome being in the nine realms.

Seeing this visage, Bill's eyes widened, and the grip around Stormbreaker tightened considerably. "...Surtur... yes, without a doubt; he is the demon who laid waste to our home."

[AnT]

@odin@ "Aye. His arrival to your world, I regret, was our fault. I gave battle to the vile demon, when he sought to lay waist of Midgard. I used a great power to banish him to a barren world. But it seems he briefly escaped to your realm."

Bill looked back at Odin for that. "Do not shoulder the blame, powerful leader. Surtur was the being who laid waste to our home." Then, he closed his eyes. "...but if he's still out there... there's no telling how many other worlds may fall beneath his might, like ours did."

"Indeed..." He responded too. He had thought his father finished him. Surtur is even more fearsome than the Frost Giants...which reminded him. "Father, we have another important matter." He turned. "The Tesseract."

[AnT]

@odin@ "I am well aware of it. It was the very relic that was used to imprison him. And I fear he is trying break through it. The beasts accessing to Midgard is the result of his attempts."

[YolkaEd]

"...so he intends to break out of his prison..." Bill grunted, as he looked up at Odin once more. "...is there a way to reinforce this Tesseract, or do we simply need to locate another means of containing this foul demon?"

He looked over at his father, awaiting his answer.

@odin@ "The energy was tampered since that foolish red mortal toyed with it. When that happened, that was when Surtur briefly escaped to your realm. I maybe able to fix it before Surtur breaks free, but those blasted magical mortals managed to create a barrier around it which even I can't break through. But I am sure Surtur can, from the inside."

"Then our path is clear." He stepped up. "I must meet with this SHIELD, and find the location of the Tesseract. Help them unseal the containment and take it back. Before Surtur breaks loose...if he does, Midgard may see it's end." He looked serious. "I will not let that happen, father."

With a nod, Bill turned to look at Thor. "Then I shall lend you my power for this task." he hummed. "The people of Asgard already share the eternal gratitude of Beta Ray Bill and the Korbinite race; to not begin to aid you all in this time of crisis would be a boundless shame."

@odin@ "Then all of Asgard wish you well in your journey. Warrior of the Stars, while your hammer does not give yoy control of thunder, it does have cosmuc powers based on the gate keeper, himself. You can travel between realms."
